This is a good month to Attack the Stacks. Here in usually-dry Colorado, we can no longer boast that although it's cold, ..."it's a DRY cold...." .....cause it's NOT. Not this year. It's humid and the wind is raging. The next day it's back up to 60. People are sneezing and staggering as they try to regain their climatic equilibrium. Pull out the down jacket. Put it away. Oy. In the meantime, let's curl up and read while we dream about that NEXT project. The one on the art table, or outside (maybe not) or the manuscript waiting on the Mac. The stack that you see above is what I'm reading NOW....
Above^ This is what's simmering on my coffee table.
The stack above is one that you might trip over pretty much ANYWHERE in my house. I found a great site that's probably old news to you: GoodReads. It's an on-line community (yes, ANOTHER one) that allows you to post & rate books that you've read, are currently reading, intend to read, and your review if you so desire. You connect with friends and look at THEIR info. I've only posted some artbooks so far. Lazy. I need to get ON it.
Hey, while I have your attention (do I?), I have to mention that I have a brand-spanking-new banner finished and waiting to be Blasted Up There. Maybe around the end of the week. The fabulous Matt Wood once again makes my crazy ideas a reality. Stay tuned.

I have that book, Century Girl! Found it at the dollar store! It's so arty and fun. Cool to see that you have it too.

As your personal librarian I whole-heartedly approve of all your stacks. I love that this is just the tip of the iceberg of books in your home!

Marie Claire Idees - have not found one in ages. Our two sources in Pasadena closed. And stacks of books, well, is there anything better? Received the Edward Gorey for Christmas, the most amazing mail art. xo P.S. I love your current banner. Can't imagine what will be even better.

Ha! Michelle, I was wondering if anyone would notice that!...it's one of those "L" shaped bookshelves that disappear when they're full. I love 'em. Got it at Barnes & Nobel. Keeps the nightstand clear. Super cheap...like 12 bucks! Happy Booking!
