One can never have too many Matts. That's MY philosophy. My co-author and illustrator at The Ever-Changing Journal is Matt Wood and now, allow me to introduce Matt Stevens. For the sake of simplicity, I'll refer to them by their initials for a bit. MW and I get a pile of mail here and at Ever-Changing, but a note from MS caught our eye. He was appreciating some previously recommended music and humbly suggested that I have a jump over to his site and listen to his work.
Here's a word from The Spratton Folk Festival (whatever THAT is). I happen to emphatically agree with the Spratton-ites (whoever they are) :
"Matt Stevens, looping guitar specialist and "One man wall of sound". Prepare to be blasted away by incredible Spanish, Jazz and Rock rhythms with leads that are out of this world" - Spratton Folk Festival
The website is chock-full of good stuff. I told him that if I ever wanted my life set to a soundtrack, I'm hiring HIM....oh, look...he actually DOES soundtracks already. Duh. Also, he hails from the UK. SO?...so I wanna hear him speak. I know, "how cliché!!!". Too bad.
"He has composed for short films (including the award winning Daddys Little Helper) and his live work is often compared to watching a one man guitar orchestra or wall of sound."
Many of our readers are involved in a creative endeavor of some sort. MS's music will make a great choice for studio, office, party, road trip, cooking and generally speaking: LIFE. Here's my favorite quote from his site:
"Honesty and Integrity is valued over perfection."
WHAT???!!!!!.......unheard of. Shocking. Perfect. Good on ya' Matt Stevens! Count us in as fans!
Oh, and speaking of honesty, Matt WOOD is ON IT over at The Ever-Changing Web Journal.

Thanks so much - i hope its ok to quote you on my site....
Thanks again

Hi Lisa - I couldn't agree with you more. Matt's a great guitarist and musician. I love his album and he is such an accessible artist through all his social media connections. I wrote a review of his album here:

PS - love love love your copyright warning.

So I'm not the only one with the fantasy of having a personal soundtrack. I will zip over to the "other Matt" and have a listen.
Meanwhile hope you're having a good Passover and Happy Easter, too.
